Our namesake Calamity Jane was a woman who lived outside the norms of her time. We are thankful to be living in a time where people can be their authentic selves, but that doesn’t come without the support of a community that’s also open to diversity and inclusion. We’re lucky to live in such a community and to have been a part of the North Fork’s inaugural Pride Parade in 2023. We look forward to its continued success and growth. The Janes celebrate the way of the clam (who by the way, happens to be gender-fluid) and all the pioneering folks and allies out there who live their lives according to their inner compass.
